Privacy policy

Short version: we collect only what's needed to sell you a guide and to send you a link you ask for on Instagram. We don't sell your data, and there are no ad trackers on this site.

What we collect

• At checkout (via Stripe): your name, email address, country/postal code and payment details. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our server.
• When you email us: your email address and whatever you choose to send.
• When you sign up for a free guide: see Free guides and our email list below.
• When you comment a keyword on our Instagram posts: see Instagram comments and messages below.
• Server logs: like most websites, our hosting keeps basic technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
• Visitor statistics: we count page views and button clicks with Umami, running on our own server. It sets no cookies, does not collect personal information and does not follow you to other websites.

How we use it

• To process your payment, deliver your guide and send your receipt.
• To answer support requests and process refunds.
• We don't send marketing emails unless you've asked to receive them by ticking the box when you signed up.

Free guides and our email list

To get a free guide, you give us your email address. We save it, the page you signed up on, the time, and whether you ticked the box asking for emails (with the exact words you agreed to). This is stored on a server we manage ourselves.

• If you don't tick the box, we won't send you marketing emails. We may email you about the guide you asked for.
• If you do tick it, we may email you new guides and tips. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us and we'll remove you.
• We never sell or share your email address.

Instagram comments and messages

Some of our Instagram posts invite you to comment a keyword (for example, “ZIPPY”) to receive a link. When you do, our automation uses Meta's official Instagram API to:

• read that comment on our own post, to check whether it contains the keyword;
• reply to it publicly once, letting you know the link is on its way; and
• send you one private message with a short description and the link you asked for.

To do this, we process your Instagram username and account ID, the comment's text and ID, the post it was left on, the time it was posted, and whether our reply and message were delivered. We keep a record of each comment we have answered so that you never receive the same message twice.

We only act on comments that contain the keyword. We don't read your other messages, follow up with further messages, add you to any mailing list, or use this information for advertising. We never access your own posts, your followers or your profile beyond the username shown on your comment.

Who we share it with

Stripe processes payments under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). Instagram comments and messages pass through Meta's platform under Meta's own privacy policy. The automation runs on a server we manage ourselves. We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Cookies

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe's checkout page may use cookies needed for payments and fraud prevention.

Your choices and deleting your data

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing support@automatedock.com. For Instagram data, include your Instagram username and roughly when you commented, and we'll delete our records of your comment and our reply, then confirm by email. You can also delete your own comment on Instagram at any time. Some payment records must be kept for tax and accounting purposes.
